Beginning Quilt Class



Come learn from Chris the joy of quilting, you will learn the importance of straight seams, pressing techniques as well as the knowledge of choosing fabrics that will last a lifetime. You will also gain the knowledge of how to care for your quilts and fabric.

See Requirements (below) for additional materials you will need for this class.

Cancellation policy: You may request a full refund for your class or transfer to another class if it is more than 48 hours prior to the date of the class.? If you request a transfer, any credits/charges will be made at that time if any, subject to availability.? Cancellations made 48 hours or less before a class will not be refunded.? By signing up for a class, you acknowledge this cancellation policy.? You may still purchase the kit and/or pattern at retail price that would have otherwise been included in the cost of the class.? Fabric Play Quilting reserves the right to deny class registration to individuals who cancel multiple classes.

Materials Included: Pattern
Requirements: The following items are available for purchase at Fabric Play Quilting Thread for piecing sewing needles quilting 11 or 12 seam ripper small pointy scissors for clopping thread 6 1/2 square cutting ruler Rotary Cutter small rotary cutting mat. I like an 18 X 24, but all you need for this project is at least 8" square for this project. Choose fabric placement by value to get the greatest impact from this pattern 1/2 yard of each 3 colors for the center 1/3 yard for the inner (narrow) border 2/3 yards of the outer (wide ) border The following fabrics do not have to be purchased for this class. However I highly recommend doing so as when you are ready to buy them, they may no longer be available in matching bafcs. 1/3 yard for a single binding 1-1/2 yards for backing. Bring your working sewing machine with a 1/4" foot and a bobbin (don't forget your power cord and foot pedal.) A new sewing machine needle. A rotary cutter and ruler. Straight pins. Erasable fabric marking pen
